This was originally supposed to be the one drawing of the Robin. However, after I had completed the vector artwork for it, and being very happy with the end result, I decided to explore and sketch out some of my other favourite birds. In the original sketches I had rocket flames coming out of the bottom, hence the name Rocket Birds. I decided not to include those flames as I felt they would clash with the clean lines of the vector illustrations.

The painting of the Robin was done later, and it was a challenge. Mainly, the lines that join up to form the shape of the eyes, and the lines that converge near the bottom. Challenging, but fun nonetheless.
